A Report on Pseudomonas aeruginosa from Green Cerebrospinal Fluid- Meningitis | Chapter 7 | New Frontiers in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 7
The goal of this research was to define the common characteristics of meningitis caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. A 20-year-old male patient with a history of a traffic collision was admitted to the trauma intensive care unit. He had a history of head injuries that necessitated a craniotomy. Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) of a green colour was collected and sent for microbiological testing. On blood agar, motile gramme negative bacilli with hemolytic colonies were discovered, which were then tested for biochemical reactions and antibiotic susceptibility. It was thought to be a pseudomonas strain. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the source of the blue green colour. Author (S) Details R.
