Study on Monitoring of Measurement of Radiation Doses in Paediatric Age Group in NICU and PICU | Chapter 9 | New Frontiers in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 7

The dosages of radiation received by various age groups in the NICU and PICU, as well as in the general population, are studied. The AERB's radiation recommendations and international radiation safety laws were strictly followed during this study. Dedicated X-Ray Unit, meticulous collimation, minimal / optimal radiation factors, proper FFD, 1.5 mm Aluminum filter, C.R. cassettes, confirmed and calibrated X-Ray Machine, calibrated X-Ray dosimeter were all taken into consideration. To give information on paediatric dose levels, an X-Ray examination of paediatric patients was conducted at the B.V.D.U. Medical College and Hospital in Sangli. The purpose of the radiation survey is to ensure that the patient's radiation exposure in various exposures is within the safe limits set by the international and Indian Radiation Authorities. Homotopy Analysis Method to Heat and Mass Transfer in Visco-Elastic Fluid Flow through Porous Medium over Exponential Stretching Sheet with Radiation and Chemical Reaction | Chapter 04 | Advances in Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 3

This paper elucidates the radiation and chemical reaction in heat and mass transfer of steady incompressible visco- elastic fluid flow over an exponentially stretching sheet through porous medium. The flow and heat transfer governing equations are partial differential equations and are converted into nonlinear ordinary differential equation by using suitable similarity transformations. The converted non linear ordinary differential equations are solved analytically by Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM), which provides a convergent solution with the help of control and convergence non-zero auxiliary parameter ћ.  The effect of Prandtl number, Eckert number, Reaction parameter and Schmidt number on temperature and concentration are represented through graphically. The obtained results are compared with existing results in the literature and seen in good agreement.
