Study on Nanocomposites between PdNPs and Layered Double Hydroxides for Challenging Organometallic Catalysis | Chapter 1 | New Innovations in Chemistry and Biochemistry Vol. 2

A novel catalytic method based on palladium supported on layered-double hydroxide for the C-O activation of enol phosphates is demonstrated. The best catalytic results were obtained with hydrothermally treated LDH containing Pd(0). To examine the synthesis of -phenyl enecarbamates N-Boc/ CBz under Suzuki-Miyaura conditions, two distinct ketene aminal phosphates were employed as models. When compared to the CBz counterpart, the Boc substituted o-brominated enol phosphate was quite stable under catalytic conditions. The use of an ortho-bromo aniline as a precursor allowed for the arylation/ Heck cyclization of the 2-phenyl indole in modest yields. The heterocycle was synthesised in moderate yields for four consecutive runs thanks to the reusability of the catalyst. Author (S) Details Raquel V.
