The rich Indian culture and heritage
has provided lasting solutions to many difficulties and even to the problems of
the modern world. The custom of yadnya, Agnihotra yadnya, is one such part of
the Indian customs. The procedure of the yadnya and the benefits by performing
it has been investigated and are still the part of unfathomable science. The
following review is a yield of the recent research works that have been dealing
with agnihotra yadnya and its benefits. Along with the benefits of Agnihotra
yadnya, the present review also discusses the effects of agnihotra ash on growth
of plants, and on pathogenic micro-organisms. The use of agnihotra ash as
remedial medicine for various diseases is also an aspect of the discussion.
