Phase-Locked Loop Controller for Three-Phase Unified Power Quality Conditioner for Non-linear and Voltage Sensitive Loads | Chapter 1 | New Approaches in Engineering Research Vol. 14

A new efficient control method for a unified power quality conditioner is created in this work, which can eliminate voltage changes such as sag and swell situations in distribution systems, as well as current and voltage harmonic isolation. The proposed control approach is utilised to model and simulate the UPQC that can be used at the PCC to improve power quality, and the results are compared using a distribution system with and without UPQC. UPQC can be used to protect sensitive loads within the plant as well as to prevent any distortion from entering the load side. A typical industrial load and actual characteristics supplied by a contaminated distribution network were used to evaluate the UPQC's performance. A dynamic model of the UPQC is constructed in the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment, and simulation results demonstrating system power quality improvement are shown for various supply and load conditions.

  The present study highlights about alkali element modification of glucose molecules as a method to dissolve cancer cells. The central regulation of the mechanisms governing cell proliferation has little effect on cancer cells.   The main objective of this study was to contribute to the annual passive surveillance for this pathology, since the goats are a species considered reservoir for the prion. A class of pathologies known as Transmissible Spongiform Illnesses (TSEs), which affect both humans and animals, includes scrapie, a neurological disease with a slow and deadly course that affects sheep, goats, and mouflons.
