Determination of Statistical Analysis of Acoustic Noise in Urbanized Areas | Chapter 12 | Innovations in Science and Technology Vol. 7

 The essay considers a method for statistical analysis of acoustic noise in metropolitan settings. The Murom street noise spectral-temporal analysis results are provided. The noise level is proven to be non-deterministic and to change across a large range. The goal of this work is to create a statistical analysis algorithm that provides a presentation of measurement data processing results related to acoustic noise characteristics in industrial areas, expressed as a percentage, reflecting the time intervals during which the sound level was exceeded at a specific frequency. A well-known method for determining noise map accuracy and dependability based on a mix of dispersion and mathematical statistics is examined. It is found that the method's drawback in medium and big cities is that a significant number of measurements are necessary to reach high levels of analytical reliability and accuracy. A statistical distribution temporal analysis is presented, which entails recording the relative amount of time that the observed noise level was within each of the given scale steps. The grade levels of optimal noise propagation prediction indicators are derived and justified. It has been developed a method for determining the acoustic signal propagation range in a specified area. The methodological application will allow for the creation of an urban map of agglomerations that takes into account not only the noisiest places, but also predicts noise dispersion deep into residential neighbourhoods.

Cassava is consumed in many tropical countries and is fast becoming the major raw material of many diets, especially in the bakery, brewery and pharmaceutical industries. In a study to determine the effects of various formulations of Cassava feeds on blood lipid profile in rats. Forty adult Wistar rats weighing between 120 and 150 g were divided into 4 groups of 10 rats each. The rats were acclimatized for one week; fed with different formulations of Cassava feeds adlibitum, after which the rats were allotted into groups. Group 1 was fed on Garri; group 2 on Cassava flour; group 3 on Tapioca, and the control group (group 4) on normal chow. After 4 weeks, each animal was anaesthetized by exposure to chloroform vapour and blood samples collected by cardiac puncture.  Traditional Medicine Practitioners (TMPs) of Côte d'Ivoire are familiar with the therapeutic herbs. Medicinal plants have been shown to be useful in the treatment of common diseases such as malaria (KROA, 2004) and diabetes (N'GUESSAN et al, 2013) in several studies and scientific study. In the Abidjan District, the current policy is to integrate traditional medicine and pharmacopoeia into the national health system in order to improve population health coverage, particularly in the management of commonly encountered diseases such as malaria, ENT diseases, diarrhoea, typhoid fever, and anaemia.
