Plasmacytoma One of the manifestations of plasma cell dyscrasia is neoplastic proliferation of plasma cells, which can appear as multiple myeloma, primary amyloidosis, or monoclonal gammopathy of uncertain significance. A number of factors have been identified, including viral pathogenesis and irritation from breathed irritants. Although genetic factors may play a role, no particular loci for the disease's origin have been found. Plasmacytoma primarily affects persons in their fifth and sixth decades of life. The International Myeloma Working Group's (IMWG) diagnostic criteria for SP state that the lesion must be solitary in character with no clinical, radiological, or biochemical indications of systemic involvement.
