Challenges Faced by Immigrant Women in Accessing Cervical Cancer Screening Programmes in Developed Countries | Chapter 17 | New Frontiers in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 14
The goal of this research is to find out what prevents immigrant women from participating in cervical cancer screening programmes in various industrialised countries.
The research design for this study was a critical literature review.
A total of 12 research articles were chosen for this study from a total of 417 publications found. The selected research articles were critically appraised using a critical appraisal skills programme instrument. Thematic analysis was used to examine the data.
Immigrant women in industrialised nations are unable to access cervical cancer screening programmes due to psychological, demographic, and behavioural variables, according to the study.
This study emphasises the need to raise cervical cancer screening knowledge among immigrant women in order to highlight the benefits and dispel myths about this public health intervention.
