Study on Numerical Computation of Hard Excitation in an Autocatalytic Biochemical System| Chapter 5 | Current Topics on Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 8
The goal of this research is to create, analyse, implement, and compare finite-difference techniques so that robust numerical methodologies can be made available. Two computational approaches based on finite difference schemes are used to solve an autocatalytic biochemical system in the presence of recycling enzyme. The first is the well-known Euler technique, which is an explicit approach, whereas the second is an implicit method. Despite the fact that the implicit technique, method 2, is first order correct in terms of time, it converges to the fixed point(s) over a significant time step (\ell\). The existence of strong excitation and birhythmicity is demonstrated by numerical studies.
